Meet the Support Team of Central Connecticut Chiropractic

Rebecca
Rebecca, CA

I am a recent graduate from Gateway Community College. I have an Associate’s Degree in Dietetics. I have always been interested in nutrition and try to live a healthy lifestyle. I grew up in Hamden, on a farm with a large loving family. I am one of six kids and really enjoy having a lot of siblings as well as two niece’s and three nephews. I am also the proud parent of a Persian kitty named Little Guy. He is so cute!

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time outdoors riding my bike, hiking sleeping giant, playing on a kickball team and spending time with my friends and family.

I am very proud to be working in an environment that promotes wellness. As for my future plans, I would like to retire to a lounge chair on a beach with a margarita. Ah, how I love to enjoy life!

Michelle, Billing/Financial Consultant

Hello my name is Michelle. I have been working here for almost five years. I originally began working the front desk and was given the opportunity to take over as the billing/financial coordinator. Currently I'm responsible for handling all aspects of the billing for the office. I really enjoy my job and being a part of this spectacular team. We strive everyday to do our best when it comes to our patients. Before I started working here I had no idea about the advantages of chiropractic care. After a few adjustments I began to notice a change in my health. I continued chiropractic care during all three of my pregnancies. I have seen the benefits of chiropractic care that I wanted my husband and children to experience it too. Now my family and I continue enjoying life in good health thanks to chiropractic care.

Before coming to Central Connecticut Chiropractic I was working as a preschool teacher. This was a position that I took great joy in for over 10 years but I eventually decided that it was time for a change. I had decided to go to school to learn something new and to take my career in a new direction. I spent about a year on a career focused education learning lots of new and challenging things pertaining to the medical field. As part of my education I worked as an extern at an eye surgery center putting my new found skills to use. At the end of my extern it was time to graduate and to look for the position that I was going to hone my skills in. It was then that I cam across Central Connecticut Chiropractic and Dr. DiRubba

I have been working at this office for several years and have learned all aspects of the daily operations of the front and back office. I take joy in seeing the patients as I work with the front desk as well as having the satisfaction of handling things in the back office pertaining to working with patients insurance and balancing accounts. Being at this office I enjoy working as part of an awesome team; meeting the needs of each and every patient that enters the office. It is a rewarding experience to see the changes in our patient’s lives when they continue with regular chiropractic care. It has been a great to serve everyone that comes into our office and I look forward to meeting many, many more patients in the years to come.

Brandi
Brandi, CA

I am a graduate of NVCC and focused my studies in science.  I have always been drawn to the healthcare field - first as a lifeguard, then through EMT training, working in a medical office and finally fate brought me to Dr. DiRubba’s office.

I am very close to my family which includes my parents, two younger brothers, a dog, and a few chickens.  When I’m not at work I can be found coaching swimming for a local swim team, spending time with family and friends, or creating jewelry, bath products and makeup by hand.

Before I came to Dr. DiRubba’s office I had no idea what chiropractic care was all about.  Every day I learn something new about chiropractic and am amazed to see the positive effects it is making in people's lives.

Dr. D Asks some important questions of interest to Cheshire residents - Chiropractor Cheshire Dr. D Asks...

What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Cheshire office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
